If you can't find a social work job through your schools career office you will need to do it on your own. The best way to do this is to compile a list of all the organizations in your area that employ social workers. Given the wide breadth of the field this could be a pretty long list. You will want to make sure that you do your research to make sure that you include all of the options your area. Once you have this list it is simply a matter of sending off resumes to all of the organizations. A lot of these jobs are going to be with government agencies; often the procedure for applying is going to be different. They all do things a little bit differently but almost certainly you will be asked to fill out a form on their website. The main thing is to make sure that you follow the procedures that are outlined on their website for applying for a job. This will give you the best chance for success.
